Dr. Jas has several years of experience in providing individual, couples, group therapy and psychological services. She believes that the mind and body work together as a whole and that one's mental health is just as important as one's physical health. Her background and experiences have shaped her own worldview and her work with clients. Dr. Jas is currently a Senior Staff Psychologist (PSY28549) at the University of California - Irvine serving as the liaison to the Clare Trevor School for the Arts where she consults and works with creative performers.
through her work
In her work, she integrates person-centered and multicultural approaches in order to connect with her clients. With the use of many strategies she then continues to do the work with her clients. These strategies are taken from counseling psychology, performance (“entertainment”) psychology, and multicultural psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness acceptance commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, and strengths-based approaches. Her goal is to help her clients increase optimal performance, decrease performance anxiety, bounce back from rejection, and promote greater creative expression by embracing an understanding of themselves, their identities, their values, in order to better navigate the entertainment industry.
